If you’re reading this blog, you probably already know who I am. But I’ll pretend you don’t.
I’m Aisling, which is said like “Ashleen” and my pronouns are she/her.
I’m from Canada but moved to the UK when I was 25, which is nearly 11 years ago now. I live on the South Coast of England with my partner of 7 years, Kate. I spend most of my time working as a UX and product designer for important government stuff via a large corporate consultancy.
Until recently, I also ran my own brand and web design business alongside my full-time job. As you can imagine, I didn’t have much spare time, and I soon had a wicked case of burnout. I’ve decided I’m now in my de-Girlbossification era.
I’m enjoying spending more time enjoying life. Having weekends. Being creative without trying to monetise it. I don’t know how long it will last, but does anybody know how long anything will last? That’s a rhetorical question.
Anyway, all this to say that this website is part of the whole being creative for free thing – just a place to ramble about whatever is on my mind, and have a reason to sit in a coffee shop with my laptop (one of my favourite activities!)
